I agree, this new brand of Satanism is garbage. As a long time independent Satanist I don't join groups, I don't follow leaders and don't like this law and order safe space Satanism. Satanists are supposed to be the bad guys.
What you are describing isn’t Satanism, no matter the branding.
Satanism is a religion of brutal truth, self-empowerment, individuality, personal responsibility and sovereignty. It is about vital existence, not playing the victim. These so-called modern groups ignore the foundations.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and perspective. The very nature of Satanism calls for us to be critical, question, and when necessary, speak out against things that seem suspect. When groups begin to behave in the same manner as the institutions they claim to oppose, any sort of credibility, momentum, and effectiveness goes out the window. It’s up to each individual to determine their path, and I urge others to stop and evaluate what they’re truly getting out of an affiliation with groups that are led by people who are far more interested in advancing their self-interests than in working to build community or benefit others. Feelings of belonging and acceptance are nice to have, but are they worth the value of sacrificing your integrity just to “fit in”?

I absolutely agree!
